Open Skills Pilots
Conducted in the spring of 2021. These pilots were to develop and publish shared open skill libraries of Rich Skill Descriptors (RSDs) and to learn common best practices to implement open skills with partners.
In March of 2021 OSN supported the endeavors of 14 groups as they sought to test the open skills ecosystem.
These groups worked to:
Develop & Publish
shared open skill libraries of Rich Skill Descriptors (RSDs) that can be released under a creative commons license for ongoing use by the OSN community and all others.
a validated RSD syntax and meta-data specification that can be implemented in various use-cases.
basic functionality of the Open Skills Management Toolkit (OSMT) to inform feature updates ahead of open source release.
common best practices to implement open skills with partners and build a coalition of RSD advocates to champion the use of RSDs.
